Moses is not just struggling with Creator and his own liberation and transcendence but struggling with how to lead a people just freed from slavery and now roaming in the desert.
And the holy holy tabernacle. what precision, what skill to build such a thing and what memory to repeat it! I think all of the instructions provide a sorting of sorts (ha!) Like something I have seen in the sacred Inipi lodges which can prove a test of memory in terms of building, maintaining, and moving the energy. Those with the mind and heart for it are tested and trained. Counting the stones as they come in or measuring out the amount of linen for the mishkan.
For me the costumes and the jewels enliven me. I am obssesed and excited abotu the colors, the precision and the beauty of them. With the right training I could easily remember the colors and requirements laid forth for the garments. So for each her own and may it be with joy and passion in service to the divine.
