I flew out to San Francisco for some work and play. After helping Vanessa into her new place ( Raw Manna Superfoods co-op) we embarked on our journey to New Mexico.
We started south on 5 and wound up in Encinitas for the night. Briefly I reconnected with Phoebe and I was so happy that even though it had been a while it felt like a had just seen her yesterday- a testament to our friendship and soul-sisterhood.
You may ask why New Mexico? Well I guess the feeling began right after this summer when I took my biggest trip yet driving across the country. I made it as far as Utah but on the way drove through the Sant Fe forest in New Mexico.
In some ways the journey began as we headed west on 8.
Crossing the border from California to Arizona the young and adorable agent had me roll down the window . He asked "Are you part of the revolution?" , " Yep" I answered. He smiled and let us pass as I continued the drive- one foot anchored in this reality.
